La Vita e l'Opera di Fra Bartolomeo Nascita e Formazione (1472-1499): Baccio della Porta nacque il 28 marzo 1472 a Savignano di Prato, in Toscana. Ricevette il soprannome "Baccio della Porta" per la vicinanza della sua casa al cancello di San Pier Gattolini. Nel 1483 o 1484 iniziò un apprendistato nella bottega di Cosimo Rosselli, pittore fiorentino noto per i suoi affreschi.
