Early Life and Artistic Beginnings Jacek Yerka, a name synonymous with surrealist fantasy landscapes, emerged from a family steeped in artistic tradition in Toruń, Poland, back in 1952. Both his parents were graduates of the local Fine Art Academy – his father a celebrated sculptor, and his mother a skilled painter – creating an environment where brushes, paints, and canvases were as familiar as toys.
