Carsten Otto Rönnow, known to many as Casten Rönnow, lived a life defined by his dedication to medicine and the care of others. Born on 15 February 1700 in Karlshamn, he moved through the eighteenth century not as a painter, but as a physician and a man of deep philanthropic intent. His path took him from the coastal air of his birthplace toward the bustling streets of Stockholm, where he eventually passed away on 5 May 1787.
