Jan Matejko
Early Life and Education Jan Alojzy Matejko, tunnettu puolalainen taidemaalari, syntyi Krakovassa 24. kesäkuuta 1838. Hänen isänsä, Franciszek Ksawery Matejko, oli tšekkiläinen opettaja ja muusikko, joka työskenteli ensin Wodzickin perheen palveluksessa Kościelnikissä ja myöhemmin Krakovassa.
