Venanzo Crocetti, italialainen kuvanveistäjä, syntyi Giulianovassa, Abruzzon alueella, 3. elokuuta 1913. Hänen elämäänsä leimasi syvä intohimo taiteeseen, mikä nosti hänet yhdeksi aikansa arvostetuimmista taiteilijoista. Jo 12-vuotiaana Crocetti menetti vanhempansa ja joutui kamppailemaan äärimmäisen köyhyyden keskellä, mutta hänen lahjakkuutensa ja luova janonsa pelastivat hänet näistä koettelemuksista.
