Viktor Vasnetsov: Leben und Vermächtnis Frühes Leben und Ausbildung Geboren am 12. Mai 1848 in dem Dorf Wjatka (heute Kirov), Russland, kam Viktor Michailowitsch Vasnetsov aus einer Familie mit starken Verbindungen sowohl zur Religion als auch zur Kunst. Sein Vater war Priester und Amateurmaler, der Viktors frühes Interesse an bildender Kunst förderte. Er begann zunächst Theologiestudien am Wjatka-Seminar, gab diese aber letztendlich auf, um sich der Malerei zu widmen.
