Ernst Fuchs (1930–2015): Ein Pionier des Phantastischen Realismus Ernst Fuchs wurde 1930 in Wien geboren und war das einzige Kind von Maximilian Fuchs und Leopoldine Fuchs (geb. Retzeg). Sein Vater, ein orthodox jüdischer Geschäftsmann, hatte sich nach dem Anschluss Österreichs 1938/39 nach Shanghai zurückgezogen und damit eine Karriere als Rabbi aufgegeben.
