Edwin Lord Weeks, americký malíř, zanechal ve světě umění nezmazatelnou stopu svými fascinujícími díly. Narodil se v roce 1849 v Bostonu v Massachusetts a jeho život byl důkazem prosperity jeho rodiny, která mu umožnila plně se věnovat své vášni pro malířství a cestování.
