Early Life and Education George Henry Yewell (January 20, 1830 – September 26, 1923) was an American painter and etcher born in Havre de Grace, Maryland. His father, Solomon Yewell, died when he was a young boy, leaving him and his mother to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio, where Harriet Carver Yewell had family connections.
