Born in 1881, he was a Finnish artist, craftsman, and industrial designer whose interests stretched far beyond the canvas. His work was not confined to a single medium; instead, he moved between the delicate precision of jewellery making and the structural demands of architecture. He possessed a deep skill
for embossing metal and working with enamel, talents that allowed him to shape everything from small plates and textiles to large-scale furniture and buildings.
