بييترو كافاليني: سيد الواقعية الرومانية في إيطاليا أواخر العصور الوسطى يبرز بييترو كافاليني، الذي ولد في روما حوالي عام 1240 وتوفي بشكل مأساوي في نفس المدينة قرابة عام 1330، كشخصية محورية جسرت الهوة بين الفترتين القوطية وعصر النهضة المبكر في الفن الإيطالي. ورغم أن حياته كانت قصيرة نسبيًا، اتسمت بالانتصارات الفنية والمعاناة الشخصية – لا سيما إصابة عينه الشديدة التي تعرض لها أثناء دراسته للكسوف الشمسي – إلا أن تأثير كافاللو على الأجيال…
