ArtsDotCom FAQ 2/2

Hand made oil reproductions options - Prints - Wall mural paintings - Frames - Group set oil paintings - Painting from a photo - Delivery - Payment - Warranty

The brush stroke effect along with color enhancement makes this picture take on the appearance of a broad brush painting. This effect does take away any detail that is in the digital photograph. It will look like a painting. We have included some examples of various painted works to try to give you a better idea of what you might expect. We do not actually paint your canvas, rather it is a computer-generated effect that is printed. A local artist will paint over your print to produce a real painted giclee. If you are interested in this print technique, let us know and one of our artists will help you.

Brush stroke effect is possible on special demand

Wall mural paintings

Our fresco artists are all art school graduates and they have between 15 and 35 years of experience. Have your walls or ceilings painted in any style you prefer, from renaissance to modern. These paintings are usually painted in trompe l'oeil (French for “deceive the eye”), an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the objects exist in three dimensions. We can reproduce a famous fresco or we can create a mural completely tailored to the style of your home. Our painter will paint on a large canvas in our studio, then we’ll ship you the rolled canvas, which can be adhered to your wall or ceiling. Mural paintings can add depth and dimension to any room in your home!

We offer ready-to-hang metal wire frames or frame kits for your masterpieces. Your beautiful reproductions will stand out even more on the wall. We always make sure that our frames never crop the painting and are easy to hang on walls.

Frame Stretched canvas

During framing, no part of the image is lost. For all prints and paintings, the front image will remain exactly the same as the one in the original artwork. The printed image is wrapped over the frame and goes all the way around the edges. If you look at the example below, you will see that every part of the picture is saved while it is being reflected, at the same time, on the edges of the frame. This is called the *mirror effect*. *Mirror effect* is a technique created with a special software. For paintings, our artists will stretch the canvas all the way around the edges of the frame to produce a neat painting ready to be hung.

*Mirror effect*

Frame stretched on canvas

A painting stretched on canvas will have white edges. They will not appear printed/painted like the example seen above.Paintings and prints are stretched to fit over a deep wood frame or "stretcher bar".All our frames have four small bars in the corners to reinforce the frame. If the frame is large, we add a double bar in the middle for reinforcement.

On ArtsDotCom you are free to choose a painting or poster you like, position and quality of blocks and very important, the ability to see a preview on a wall. Here is possible to choose any size of a goup set and see a price for a chosen dimension.
